Human do not need to risk their lives hunting or gathering for living today; beasts are fenced off from the residential region; strong concrete buildings provide us shelter; and travelling now is much more safer than that of medieval period. Suppose that our life is improving, but why there are millions of people died in accidents each year?

Year 2006 was not peaceful. Avian flue and mad cow disease made us wring our hands while we watched thrilling, tempting, but exaggerated news. But the fact is, no more than a hundred people were affected while cardiac disease and common flue took away tens of thousands of lives each year in the United States. Our basic instinct inherited from the Ice Age forces us attend to unfamiliar risk which is a crucial advantage for survival in the wild; however, it is no more suitable in this civil life.

We are no longer suffered from being hunted or risk for hunting. Yet, we face much more greater challenge from vary prospect of life--from car accident to global warming--but we are so habituated and overlook these real dangerous.

Perhaps we can not change the way that our brain function, but we can change our aspect of view toward risks. Human beings have passed the test given by our mother nature since millions years ago when dinosaurs and many other species failed and extinguished from Earth. Nevertheless, we may be terminated by our own foolishness and the test we created.

Wake Up! Human! No time for fooling around!
